Ever Nest

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

Ever Nest is a shared home for tasks, shopping lists, reminders and pets. This page explains what we collect to make that work, who sees it, and what you can do about it.

The short version

1. Who we are

Ever Nest is published by Continuum AI, a sole proprietorship. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Continuum AI. We decide why and how your personal data is used, which makes us the “controller” under laws like the GDPR.

2. What we collect

Your account

What you put in your home

Please don’t put sensitive information (for example health details or passwords) in task titles or lists. Everyone in the home can read them.

Floor-plan photos

You can add your floor plan from a photo you choose from your library. Ever Nest does not ask for access to your camera or your whole photo library. Crop, straighten and text detection happen on your phone. When you ask the app to read the plan, it sends a reduced-size copy of that one picture to our server, which passes it to an AI service (see section 5) to find the rooms and walls. We receive the result, which is the room shapes, names and sizes, and save that as your floor plan. We do not store the picture itself on our servers. We count how many plan readings each person does per day, to apply a daily limit.

Voice input

If you use “Say a task”, the app asks for microphone and speech-recognition permission. It listens only while you are adding a task by voice. Your phone’s speech recognition turns your words into text. On iPhone this happens on the device when your language supports it, and otherwise Apple’s speech service is used. On Android it happens on the device when available, and otherwise the system’s speech recognizer runs, which may use the network. We never receive the audio. We receive only the text that becomes the task, like any task you type.

Purchases and Plus

Ever Nest Plus is bought through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles your payment. We never see your card or payment details. We keep a record of whether your home has Plus, who paid for it and when it ends, so every member of the home gets it. Our paywall provider, Superwall, receives your account ID, your home ID and the paywall and purchase events described in section 5.

Notifications and your device

If you allow notifications, we store your device’s push token, whether it is iOS or Android, and a random ID for that install, so we can send you things like “Sam asked you to take out the trash”. The text of a notification comes from your home’s tasks and names. You can turn notifications off in your phone’s settings at any time.

Feedback and support

If you use “Send feedback”, we receive your message, up to three screenshots you attach and technical details such as the app version. You can choose whether to include a diagnostics log, which can contain recent app activity. Feedback does not include your name: it carries only a random account ID, so we can match it to the right logs, and an email address only if you type one in to get a reply. We use feedback only to find and fix bugs. Guests can send feedback too.

Diagnostics

We keep a first-party log in our own database of actions in the app, such as “task completed”, “invite created” or “push sent”. We use it to run your home’s timeline and History, to limit abuse (for example too many failed invite attempts), and to find and fix problems. We do not use third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, and we have turned off analytics and advertising in Firebase.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising ID or health data, and we do not use your data to show ads.

3. Why we use it

4. What other people in your home can see

Ever Nest is built for sharing. Everyone in your home can see:

People you invite can join with an invite link or code, and a member approves the request. Codes expire after 48 hours. If you remove someone or someone leaves, they stop seeing the home. If someone leaves or deletes their account, their past Dones stay on the home’s timeline as “Former member”.

Other members never see your email address or your push tokens.

5. Who else handles your data

We use these providers to run Ever Nest. They handle data only to do their job for us. We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and security of people or Ever Nest. If we ever sell or merge the business, your data could move to the new owner, and we would tell you first.

6. How long we keep it, and deleting your data

You can delete your account in the app: Settings, then Account, then Delete account. It asks twice. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke the connection to your Apple account.

When you delete your account:

We keep your data, including in backups and server logs, only as long as the app needs it to run, and only people who need it to run the app can see it. When you delete your account, your data is deleted promptly, including from backups and server logs. Feedback is kept only as long as we need it to find and fix bugs. You can also ask us to delete your data by writing to us (section 12).

Signing out, or deleting the app from your phone, does not delete your account.

7. Children

You must be at least 13 to use Ever Nest. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Each person can reach only their own home’s data, and access is checked on our server for every request, not just in the app. We keep API keys and other secrets on the server, not in the app. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

9. International transfers

Our servers and several of our providers (Supabase, OpenAI, Google, Superwall, Discord and Apple) are in the United States or other countries. Your data may be processed outside the country where you live. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the providers’ own transfer mechanisms.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have the right to:

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context advertising, and we do not treat you differently for using your rights. To use a right, write to us (section 12). We may need to check it is really you, and we will answer within the time the law gives us.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Ever Nest grows. We will change the date at the top. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app or by email before it starts.
